Graduate Programs
Applications for the University of Calgary graduate programs are now open. Please check the program website for application deadlines. For more information on requirements and the application process please refer to the graduate program page. Those interested in Clinical Psychology are encouraged to additionally review the Clinical admissions document.
Dr. Exner-Cortens is accepting graduate applications for fall 2025 entry into the MSc in Psychology program only. She is not accepting applications into the MSc in Clinical Psychology or PhD in Psychology programs. If you are interested in being supervised by Dr. Exner-Cortens, put her down as the first potential supervisor on your application. Unfortunately due to the volume of applications we receive, we are unable to meet with applicants before the deadline. Applicants who are short-listed for admission will be invited to interview with Dr. Exner-Cortens after the application deadline.

Honours Program
To apply to be an Honours student in the HOPELab for 2025-2026, prior to Friday, October 18th, please send Dr. Exner-Cortens (deinera.exner2@ucalgary.ca) the following documents:

Honours application form (available at the link below) with pages 1-3 completed (i.e., you do not need to complete the Signature Page (page 4) at this time)
She will be in touch with all applicants to the lab by October 25th to let them know if they are moving forward to the next step in the application process, which is an interview with Dr. Exner-Cortens. These interviews will be completed between October 25th and November 29th. Interview decisions will be sent by December 4th, and then successful applicants will apply for the Honours program under her supervision. Dr. Exner-Cortens’ plans to take 1-2 Honours students for 2025-26.
